Those are mai hands.
I no longer work at Brooke Graphics, LLC.

Descendents - Clean Sheets (butchered)

So, here's me playing the song "Clean Sheets" by the Descendents back in October 2010.

Me playing "Clean Sheets" by Descendents.
I'm getting back into playing guitar, so pardon the butchering.
For documentary purposes only, and a personal thank you to the band for putting out such good music over the years.

Wisdom Of Tea #3...

So, I drink this really great tea by a brand called Yogi™ Tea. Mai fav flav is the Lemon-Ginger, OMG you can drink this w/o any sweeteners, which is always a plus in mai book. Anyway they have these pieces of kite-string wisdom on each bag.

"Wisdom, character and consciousness conquer all."

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Side 1" of an old Rave maixtape called "Pure" from 1994 mixed by Fenix.
You can find moar here.

Dew Tour...

So, yesterday myself and my friends Gordon & Marfa went down to the Dew Tour BMX qualifiers in DWNTWN Chicago just south of the Buckingham Fountain and the Taste of Chicago. We were invited by our friend Kevin Porter who was riding during the qualifiers, unfortunately he did not place, there were like 50+ riders that had to get cut to 13. So many great riders that didn't make the cut, that doesn't mean that the shit they pulled wasn't any less amazing. Speaking of cutting we found a place to sneak in without badges.

As we make our way to the Athlete Entrance we see another biker guy we know, known to us only as Ryan, walking down the stairs of the bleachers we wave and he walks toward a hole in the fence where he too apparently had snuck in and motioned that the coast was clear. I guess we could have waited, my friend Jim was coming in like 15 minutes with some free passes he had acquired that morning. Now, when Jim gets there and hands us the passes we notice that the date on the pass is for Friday not Thursday, now Jim get a little mad because he can't come Friday because he's going to see KISS play up in Milwaukee, WI for $15 at some festival, maybe Summerfest.
Summer is definitely here, the Sun was out in full effect, blazing with it's shades on proper with a shit eating grin while "the dreaded storm" everyone was talking about never showed up due to The Sun flexing those beefy biceps, even after the the storm gleeked on us for three minutes it was back to dry in ten. Just enough to make the course slippery enough to not ride, but not too much too run for cover. Well, some other babies ran, but we stood there. It felt KNDA good to get a few cold drops on you during a good swelter.

I have never been to a BMX contest nor have I ever seen this calibre of riding in person. Sure, there are some riders that come to the park and do some crazy ish, but not like this. You can prolly see in the video above just exactly what I'm talking about. In person things just seem a bit more real than sitting in the AC watching the live stream.

Even though I am not a biker I can still acknowledge and respect all that goes into being that kind of athlete in the non traditional sense, KNDA like me going to a baseball game and respecting a 98 MPH sphere being shot at your face. I've always been into the fringe sports, rather than the "trad" sports for jocks, ever since I was a little Lonely iSapien Hudude Boy. Motocross, BMX track, BMX freestyle, Formula One, Truck/Tractor Pulls, Mud Boggin', you name it. If it had to do with flannel & blue jeans I was a fan.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Masterplan" by Beck Session Group from the album "The Singles" dunno what year. I can't find much info on this group except that I had found them on some blog that said "I had to hear this band", so I did. Maybe you can to if you find it out there in the webernet fun zone.

Duffs Shoes...

So, here is a kewl bit of computor image altering softwarez.
The kid is wearing Duffs shoes.
Speaking of "The Kid" Here's an ad with Jason Adams from ida-no what year.
Duffs shoes used to be pretty kewl.
They had this one model called "the mongoose" it was soooo rad that I bought three pair, two Brown one Blue.
Then something happened and it seemed loik they only had loik one style in loik seven dif color ways. WTFrick?

I just czeched and they are still in binniss, you can find them under this word here Duffs , yes that word back there.
BTW, Kevin Porter is supposed to have a pro BMX shoe coming out in early 2011, Later.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Victory Lane" by Komeda from the album "Kokomemedada" 2004

St. Charles, IL...

So, loik I'm at my mommy's house in STC, she asked me to come out while she gets a new Water Heater installed while she is at work. I mean honestly, since I'm still unemployed and it's raining, she really couldn't have picked a better day. I have no job to miss, I'm not missing any good Skateboard action because the parks out here aren't anything to miss. Plus, I'm a little on the sick side, some sort of weird mild throat/sinus thing. The sinuses aren't leaking or stuffed, it's just not normal. The throat is KNDA weird in a way that it just feels mildly toxic & needs hydration regularly. I'm taking some Cold-eeze & I ate a Banana just because it was there. Gunna finish watching Millionaire Matchmaker, Take a Shower and then maybe go to Yeah! Boardshop on my way home to feed my Cat, The Squishy. As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Compu Food" by Squarmeat from I don't know what album. I just got it from Thixxndixx or maybe their Beatbiz.net page. I DWLD'd it back on Wednesday July 19th, 2006

Sleeping seems to help....

So, have you ever wanted to sleep outside, the way the cool Chicago breeze just rolls over your face on a nice 70* day? Last week there were a few days that I just wanted to do just that. I wish I had a rooftop with private access with no fear of rodents, eating my toes. I remember as teeny boppers we would sleep on the top of my friends 8 foot halfpipe on such nights, as the ones I just suggested, out in St. Charles, IL. There was one time we slept on his roof outside of his window over the back door, it was maybe a 6 or 7 foot long roof with a slight tilt, we were in sleeping bags laying on our Backs looking at stars and moving things in space, I remember waking up at some point during the night and our Feet & Legs were dangling off the roof, there was a good foot after our Feet when we started, we slid down about 2-3 feet in the night. Pretty scary when you're trapped in a bag.

One time I was in Carbondale, IL and this girl had a small flat roof about 6 x 10 foot, it was so beautiful down there, I just fell a sleep for about 20 minutes. There was a huge pine tree next to the roof, what woke me up was the owl Whooing in the tree.

My most recent experience was October 2008 in the Arizona desert somewhere out by Goodyear, got two hours sleep, woke up got a beer & fell asleep again on the couch in the morning sun with a cool 7am desert breeze.

As of the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Bartender" by Gang Green from the album "I81B4U" 1988, Every song on this EP is a 5 star keeper. The title is a reference to Van Halen's album, OU812 released in the same year. I81B4U translates phonetically to "I Ate One Before You")

Munch...

So, this is my Grandpa on my Father's side, my Dad's Dad. James Robert "Bob" Montgomery, nickname "Munch" origin of his nickname is unclear. Born December 13th, 1911 on the Lett family Homestead, south of Sandwich, Illinois. His Father, Ward Pease Montgomery, age 32. Mother: May Belle Fitzgerald Montgomery, age 30. (Ward Pease Montgomery was an talented musician and artist / illustrator).

1928: Began playing dance jobs using his expanded drum set, added to during high school with money from the Fisher Bakery job in Aurora, IL.
1931: August, Contracted polio of the lower extremeties following a long hot day, having had a headache all day and playing a band job. Doctor Lindbergh, Osteopath, and his family aided him with fluids, fruit and massages. Recovered from polio enough to be able to walk independently and play drums - but never to run again.
October 22, 1932 his Band, The Fidgety Five, won first place in the district finals of the WLS Radio / Paramount Radio contest at the Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL, winning $75 and an opportunity to perform before a live audience on the air on November 20, 1932, at the WLS Radio Studios in Chicago, IL.

1941 in De Kalb, IL he went to work for Montgomery Ward's in DeKalb. He rented a room in the home of John and Martha McMenamin on Augusta Avenue. He befriended Victor McMenamin, son of John and Martha, and met one of Victor's sister, Barbara Jean. He would eat his evening meal at "Punk's Cabin", a tavern and eating establishment in downtown De Kalb. An evening meal at "The Cabin" cost $ .75 in 1941. Robert Married Barbara (my grandma, she turned 90 in October 2008) in 1943 while earning $35 a week. In 1946 my Dad was born. In 1978, March 12 My grandpa dies of prostate cancer, and is buried in St. Mary Cemetery, De Kalb, IL, on March 15. I was only 4 years old at the time, but I have some fond memories of BBQ's at the house in DeKalb, IL, laying on a blanket with him at a picnic beach party, playing with the drums in the basement & standing next to his hospital bed at the house. He was a great artist and I still have one of his piece from when he was in high school.

Sorry for the long boring post, I just came across the photo in my computer. Sorry to bore the Seven of you.

As of the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Weakness" by McRad from the "Public Domain" soundtrack 1988 (a skateboard video by Powell/Peralta)

I-Path Demoooooo...

So, this video is the Buster Bear/Dry Bones version of the I-Path/Hometown Heroes Demotest. K-Dawg Kev Pwnd the stair huck. People were mad cuz the wigger kid was doing "harder" tricks, but he only landed like 5 of them, one was a switch something but he fell out of it and still counted it. Kevin just landed the most tricks plain and simple and they were all kinda tough, he was also the only one to land multiple Hubba tricks, that wigger kid might be good at a perfect skatepark double set, but this is real life. I just hope he got that new Jay-Z album in time, hoving around the subbys.

As you can see, I took one of Gordon's daughters dancing. I like Guacamule as swell. I fell in love with my lost love again, Tech Decks. Such Luck Tim wasn't there which KNDA sucked, Pre Barney Matt Blevins kept his cool & looked it at the same time, All the reppers were out, Al from Character skateboards, Marfa from Wellborn Clothing , Alex from Buster Bear , Steve from Skate Illinois showed up later with Tim Ward and Tim Armour. There were bags of chips & half-eaten Burritos everywhere. I can't believe that people can be so disrespectful of my significant other that I'm a complicated relationship with on Facebook, Wilson Skatepark.

Brian, former owner of RQ skateshop in Naperville, IL was there, he KNDA promoted the shit out this thing, getting sponsors like Chipolte, Tech Deck, Affiliate Skateboards and a host of other too numerous to mention. It went off soooo hard, the weather cleared, the wind subsided, the Temperature dropped like a Muhh Fuhh, I made a new friend named Punchy who was born with the name Ryan Lay, he is an AZ DBN chapter member and he Raves, I made him an MP3 CD of 10 hours of Happy Hardcore/Rave music from 1993-2008. I hope he & Jaws are Psyched.

OMG that Ben Rayburn kid or whatever his name is, FRICK!!! sooooofickin' goood, he's loik 14-16 years young, Crailed loik half the deep end of the Wilson bowl, just str8 up PWND everything, did some sort of nosegrab 360℃ to fakie. He's looks loik a mini Jake Phelps, except with less SPI (spit per square inch). I, myself, repped my Yeah! A Place For Boards/Brimely collaboration shades, also repped Thrasher Magazine with my 90's zipper hoody & Vans Shoes with my Custom Dots Graphic Johnny Layton Purple Fades (sorry, good shoe, boring though, So, I spiced it) & my Vans Off The Wall Hat with custom Buster Bear art. Thanks to Jay Croft for the hat, He's KNDA the Vans midwest rep. He's from Ohio transplanted to Chicago For his wife's Schooling. Great guy all around. So, Paul [Van Doren], if you ever read this, wherever you are, he's doing his job.

I also handed out ALL of the Lowcard stickers, they were just laying there on the ground in a big pile spread out for people to take, but they were not being taken because all the kids were in the street course watching history unfold. So, I guess I KNDA repped them too, spreading the word of how "You can't polish a Turd". I'm a Subbie through & through though. I'm not black enough to Rep the Chi (pronounced Shy not Chee or Chai which is pronounced Ch-Eye not Kai). I don't be have the proper Chi push when I ride my board, making it look like you're pushing as hard as you can when you're just pushing like Kiko in that Lupe Fiasco video, (which, I guess there is some beef about that) So, Dave Thomas [rest your soul] I have found the Beef. Chi pushing is loik the equivalent of having a huge loud muffler on your rusted 1986 Honda Civic Hatchback. You're not going any faster just 'cuz your foot is stretched out as far as humanly possible and your arms are all monkey hung like a scarecrow.

I love this City & all the Bros I've met along the way, Jesse Neuhaus, Twins, Reggie, Biker Jose, Johnny Fonseca, Emfon, Tony the Juggler, Chris Forestine (spelling), Rutas, Meth, Salon John, Chris Quinn (pipes in front of your parents), Fat USA Kevin, KOOKalabro, Grumpy, Steve Dread, Turbo, Kalis, Hensley, Melcher/Marfa, Nate/Tony/Jub/Jason, Nate Lyons, Rob McBride, Sava/Paul, Wheaton Pussies other bros too, Thanks Metra . I don't have much that much free time. Well, possibly.

As of the time of the end of the post I am currently listening to "Psyde Line 10" by Flak from the DWLD'd mix "Psyde Line 10 (Disc2)" 2008. Some great Psychedelic Trance, some call it Goa, but there is a slight difference. I will take it all though. It's like Industrial & EBM, same but difernt. (Goa Trance & Psychedelic Techno)

I Skate, I Live, I Path...

So, tomorrow, Saturday the 9th of May, 2009 there will be a demo at Wilson Skatepark in Beautiful Chicago, IL. There will also be a Hometown Heroes contest at the same time, Um that just sounds like a madhouse. I however will be getting there at 9am for the Barney session that happens every Saturday & Sunday at 9am. Old Dudes bitching about how crowded it will get. Some dude are going to skate the park in Whiting, IN, because of the Demos, gnarly bowls with over-vert pockets & a carving door. So grab your Coffees & or Dognuts, head up to wilson sometime B4 Noon to avoid the crazy kid rush, Sit around, work off your hangover, Talk about that band you saw last night or the one you're going to go see. I hope to see one of the Seven of you there. Dry Bones Nation is going to Be there in full effect as will Such Luck, Buster Bear & Wellborn Clothing, the Yeah! Boardshop team will be PWNing the facility also reppin' tha burbs like the subbies that they are. As of the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Disappearing Into You" by Raphael from the compilation "Hearts Of Space: Universal Sampler '90" 1990, Some great, relaxing, early Synth stuff in my Chillambidub playlist in my iTunes. This song is very pianoey.

Weird, Waxed & Wired

So, the title of this post is actually a song By none other than madman Rick Sims at the forefront of hyper adrenaline, gear-head rock band the Didjits, a "Chicago" band, they are actually from Mattoon, IL. The cover photo for this blog is actually from the webplace & blog facility Weird Chicago . A nice place to go if you have a date and wanna see some Kewl Shiz or if you are new to the Chi (pronounced Shy not Chee or Chai, which is pronounced Ch-eye not K-eye). I over heard some girls at a bar yesterday saying that they have been in Chicago for 5 days, they just moved here and are wondering if they should stay. Well, hey ladies, don't let the rain or constant change of weather hinder you, this City, or Shitty as some people call her, has some great "shit" to offer you. let's see: 1) the lake & miles of beach in the summer, 2) the Hancock Signature room on the 3rd of July. 3) Lake Shore Drive (LSD) on the 3rd of July (you can sit on the median on the center lane in grant park and watch the fireworks) 4) Shedd Aquarium, 5) Field Museum, 6) the Adler Planetarium (or Plane-arium if you're a South Park fan) 7) the Art Institute, they have a FREE day and you can spend ALL DAY in there in awe of so much Kewl Shiz, 8) the Museum Of Science & Industry in Hyde Park, 9) Navy Peir funness facility, 10) Bike Trails for miles, 11) a Public Transit System, although may suck at times it will still get you to 95% of the places you want to see, 12) Venues for any music at any day of the week. All of these things are available to you with certain days being cheaper than others.

Have an open mind and don't compare it to Los Angeles, San Fran, Seattle, Nawlins or NYC, because it is nothing like any of those Cities except for the fact that it is all of those in one. Best pizza, best thai, best sushi, best vegan, best italian, friendly diverse neighborhoods with their own niche of kewtness & savory foods. Don't be afraid to ask anyone where to get the best food for what you are craving, you will get about 30 different suggestions from 4 different people. Hey you could even ask One of the Seven people who read this blog. give chicago a year of your life, if you don't fall in love then go back to Deer Lodge, Montana.

As of the time of the end of this blog I am currently listening to "Some Foggy Mountain Top" by Mr. T. Experience from the album "Revenge Is Sweet, And So Are You" 1997, I used to hang out with Mike Alfini & sleep over at his house way back in 1992-93, He is the head of the Band the 4 Squares and we would prank the singer of Mr. T.

Words As Weapons For Tranquility...

So, Hi therefore Hello, We know to show what you don't know as means to grow with powerful blows, Breaking walls not minding the falls as we pick ourselves up and reflect the stalls. That's all for today. As of the time of end of this post I am currently listening to "Epena" by Deep Space Network from the compilation "Plug In & Turn On X.2 (Disc 2)" 1994. Some More damn fine ambient music.

The 80's Peaced the 90's...

So, as the Seven of you prolly know from my previous posts, I started sk8n in 1986, this picture here is from 1987. I dove in head first into sk8n, I went and gave myself the "Tony Hawk" haircut, got a pair of blue, Vans hi-tops, Then later I switched to Awesome shoes because they were Cheaper than Vans with the Same exact Quality, Different sole & Stripe. My Mom would stop by Sundance Cyclery in Bloomingdale, IL on her way home from work, If she saw shoes one sale she would buy me two pair. She may not have ever learned anything about skating all these years, but she always looked out for me if she saw a deal on skate clothes or shoes. I Pierced my ear with a huge safety pin at a 7th grade dance, then went to Claire's Boutique and stole a dangley Peace Sign earring as seen in this picture with my older brother, Eric. Above are two pictures, the 1st is Me and Mom's's (momsiz, urban for "my mommy") from around 1992-93, I'm guessing from my glasses & pants. The 2nd is the Epic pic of me & my late brother Eric. Screaming of 80's and I love it, his George Michael beard and Denim/Leather combo jacket & me with skater flair broooo. He turned me onto Megadeth in 1986 or 87, I was listening to Dead Kennedys on the stereo and he comes in, turned it off put on the album "peace sells..." and was all like, "this is real music!". I KNDA just stood there and said "I dunnoooo...." all whiny and stuff. Then I gave it a listen on my own when he wasn't around, and today it is still, I think one of the best Metal albums EVER! He also had Metallica's "Pastor of Muppets" which at the time, in 6th grade i had no clue who they were. I do remember going to the Carnival and standing by the Tilt-A-Whirl in the summer between 6th & 7th grades (1986) & some Burnout had the stereo hooked up to the lights on the ride so they would blink to the music playing, I remember being charged and getting goose bumps thinking "this is awesome!". It wasn't until later when I listened to my brother's tape in secret that I realized that the Burnout was jamming that album "pastor of muppets" that night I got butterflies. From that moment on, it was then I realized was also Metal. My room became a collage of Skateboarding, Steve Caballero, various Metal band clippings from RIP & Metal Edge magazines, Exodus (pleasures of the flesh), Dark Angel (darkness descends), Death Angel (frolic in the park), Rage (execution guaranteed), Grim Reaper (fear no evil), Napalm Death (scum), Helloween (keeper/keys), Blood Feast (kill for pleasure), Wehrmacht (biermacht), Slayer (reign in blood) Etc... & one whole wall dedicated to nothing but Megadeth & Metallica. I have too much shit. If you came over you would be in awe of the stuff I have, not because it's too much, but of how cool some of it is & that I still have it in god condition. By the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Space Deranger" by Oneiromanix from the compilation "Telepathik Nonsense" 2009. Oh ooops, it seems that while writing that last line it was Cross Fading into the next track which is "Tsall Cymbal Lick" by Cuboid Atom from the same compilation. I just DWNLD'd it this morning and I am Czeching it out, maybe I'll do a review of it for the Seven of you. Not that you would care about this kind of music, you can czech it for URSLF here at Ektoplazm Sound Liberation if you want.

The Bros Are Back In Town...

So, some of the old Manatee crew is going to be in town this week for a few days/weeks. My first sighting was Tim Ward from Chumphange blogitude, he just drove back 27 hours from Temp, AZ with his Daddy. I saw him at Wilson Skatepark in the Chi (pronounced Shy, not Chee or Chai which is pronouced Ch-eye not Kai) he rolled up with POB & Dav, you should know Dav from Yay! A shoppe for boards over at his Skate Illinois webplace or @ Yay Beardshop funness center. The word on the street From Six Pack Chris (Poke It) is that we are getting a Fetter in the town also, now all we need is for Chris Smith to take some time off from the art scene and have a big hoopla of a time eating Pizza & Sipping Liquids. Matt Blevins, Alex "lefty" Cohen, Pat Franklin & Zach Arctander (spelling?) Gordon & even BMX rider Kevin Porter showed up for a minute to film a line which I kept getting in his way almost every time on accident. He said it was cool because it looked like I was having more fun. On a different subject, I wore shorts skating for the first time this year. Man, was that weird. Legs were a little white, but you could still see my sock tan from years past. I'm being a puss about trying to 5-O & Tailslide an 18 inch metal edge curb. I don't know why, I know I can ollie over a 24 inch cone from flat & even up onto a 30 inch wall. What's with people waxing their Boards and Trucks? I'm sorry, but go faster and lean back into it a little, chances are it's you that is doing something wrong, not the board or curb. Now I understand that some types of surfaces need some coaxing, but not a metal edge at a skatepark. Maybe a 30 year old rusty pipe or a freshly poured curb. Wipe off that sweat from your greasy energy drink filled forehead. I think I might have to make a video about how to & when to apply wax. I really should take a shower now, I mean it's 2:15 in the afternoon for X's sake, get some food stuffs, look for a job & go play on my skateboard at the skateboard field. I keep typing Skateboard as skatebpard or skatebpoard. WTF fat fingers, I never learned how to type correctly. As of the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "The Candy Man" by Sloppy Seconds from the album "Destroyed" 1989. There I go again, I end the post and forget about something else that happened, so NOOOOW I am listening to "Antichrist" by Slayer from the album "Show No Mercy" 1983

Ambivalence of Ambience...

So, I can't think of anything cool to post, but I don't want to leave the Seven of you hanging in wait, so...... here I present to you some Damn Good ambient music from Omicron the album is called "Acrocosm" from 1994 on Instinct records.
Omicron is Savvas Ysatis, he also worked under the name of SETI with Taylor Deupree who was a part of Human Mesh Dance & Prototype 909, also on Instinct. Well, I think Prototype 909 was on Sonic records, but the two labesl were kind of part of each other in some sort of way.
If you wanted to get good techno music in the early 90's, then these were two of the labels that you wanted to buy their complete catalog. Moby's first couple of works were on these labels and their compliations.

Okay so that's it for now, rain sucks, weather blows, I should ride my bike more, drink more Kefir, eat more yogurt with granola before I ride or skate, stop eating Chimichangas & Steak Tacos, but you will never get me to give up Pizza, not without a fight anyway.

As the of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Forgive me, Philip" by The Digital City from the "Digital City EP" 2008

30 in 2...

So, I went out and rode yesterday with my friend Stephanie, she had to go to her Mom's for some stuffs, her Mom lives by the Botanic Gardens up in like Glencoe, Il.
We had some food, you know, to Carbo-Load for our ride. I had some Cranberry juice and a Turkey sandwich on Honey Flax Wheat bread w/Lettuce & Swiss cheese, my mustard was just regs Grey Poupon™ or however you spell it.
Oh I did also have some Hummus on Naaaaaan. She was all worried about it raining so I went outside to see what all the fuss was about, I looked at the sky, read the Clouds and Wind and determined that if it was going to rain it would be soon and only for a short time, due to the Gray cloud being directly above us and White-ish cloud behind that in the direction of wind.
We go back inside and it starts raining for about maybe 5 minutes. We get on our bike about five minutes after that and it was already starting to dry, it was cool & humid. We got on the bike trail, there is this extensive system out there, and proceeded to ride for 2 hours.
Now, I have only rode once since last fall, so this was kinda getting in over my head. My cardio & muscles wern't up to code yet in my mind but, you kinda lose track of time when you're riding through the forest. It turns out that when we got back to her Mom's at the end of our ride, that she had set her Odometer and Clock on her bike.
We rode for 2 hours (1h 56m) and 30 miles (act. 28mi). I was so sore, well mostly just my thighs, we stopped at about 14 miles to stretch and lay on the concrete. When I put my back to the concrete it cracked the whole way down, felt sooo goooood. So we do some post ride carbs, cashews, macadamia nuts, Wheat Thins™ & hummus, and a Gatorade G2™.
Well, after we sit there snacking & watching the end of Snakes on a Plane on FX™ we get up to go put the bikes in the car.
My bike being a 1998 Cannondale, she has been with me 11 years now. She is graced with Skate Illinois & Such Luck stickers, as well as many other punk band stickers, she even wears an Hallucinogen sticker from 1998. Oh yeah, as I go to stand up my ankle joint is almost frozen, not cold but as in it feels fused together. The joys of past injuries & getting older.

As of the time of the ending of this post I am currently listening to "Devozione" by Ashes from the album "Corpus" 1996, some great Dub chillout music.

Rain picks up an appetite for sunshine...

So, I wanted to go ride today, but then i saw it was prolly gunna rain allllllll day, I was thinking about it, and when I had a job and rode to work it was no problem if it rained because I had to ride in it.
Ever since I got laid off it has made me all picky about which days I ride. Too breezy, looks humid, looks like rain, friends want lunch, CD to import. The list goes on, it's like the book of excuses we almost made for Jackson Taylor because he wouldn't want to skate or more like, We wanted to go skate and he would come up with the funniest reasons why he didn't want to.
You have to admit, riding Beach cruisers to the rooftop of some bar or having a BBQ are some pretty damn good reasons not to go skate. I miss hanging with Jackson, we were close bros, then he moved away, then he moved back, then there was some weird circle of friends incest type of stuff going on, and well, we just lost touch. Dude is SRSLY one fukkin funny Muhh Fuhh.
I don't think he parties or skates as much as he used to but I bet he is no less of a good time to be around. This rainy day is for you Jackson. Thanks for all the free drinks you got us with your personality, wish we were still in touch.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "People In Church (Demo)" by the band Stations from the album "Way Hap: Ultimate Rarities" 1981 (or something). Stations was a local Chicago band that Steve Albini was in before they kicked him out (or so I understand) he then went to be waaaaay bigger than them with Big Black.

Great I rambled too damn long and now I am listening to "You're Gunna Miss Me" by Radio Birdman from the album "Radios Appear" 1978. Lucky Day... now the Seven of you now get two new artists to discover.
