Weird, Waxed & Wired

So, the title of this post is actually a song By none other than madman Rick Sims at the forefront of hyper adrenaline, gear-head rock band the Didjits, a "Chicago" band, they are actually from Mattoon, IL. The cover photo for this blog is actually from the webplace & blog facility Weird Chicago . A nice place to go if you have a date and wanna see some Kewl Shiz or if you are new to the Chi (pronounced Shy not Chee or Chai, which is pronounced Ch-eye not K-eye). I over heard some girls at a bar yesterday saying that they have been in Chicago for 5 days, they just moved here and are wondering if they should stay. Well, hey ladies, don't let the rain or constant change of weather hinder you, this City, or Shitty as some people call her, has some great "shit" to offer you. let's see: 1) the lake & miles of beach in the summer, 2) the Hancock Signature room on the 3rd of July. 3) Lake Shore Drive (LSD) on the 3rd of July (you can sit on the median on the center lane in grant park and watch the fireworks) 4) Shedd Aquarium, 5) Field Museum, 6) the Adler Planetarium (or Plane-arium if you're a South Park fan) 7) the Art Institute, they have a FREE day and you can spend ALL DAY in there in awe of so much Kewl Shiz, 8) the Museum Of Science & Industry in Hyde Park, 9) Navy Peir funness facility, 10) Bike Trails for miles, 11) a Public Transit System, although may suck at times it will still get you to 95% of the places you want to see, 12) Venues for any music at any day of the week. All of these things are available to you with certain days being cheaper than others.

Have an open mind and don't compare it to Los Angeles, San Fran, Seattle, Nawlins or NYC, because it is nothing like any of those Cities except for the fact that it is all of those in one. Best pizza, best thai, best sushi, best vegan, best italian, friendly diverse neighborhoods with their own niche of kewtness & savory foods. Don't be afraid to ask anyone where to get the best food for what you are craving, you will get about 30 different suggestions from 4 different people. Hey you could even ask One of the Seven people who read this blog. give chicago a year of your life, if you don't fall in love then go back to Deer Lodge, Montana.

As of the time of the end of this blog I am currently listening to "Some Foggy Mountain Top" by Mr. T. Experience from the album "Revenge Is Sweet, And So Are You" 1997, I used to hang out with Mike Alfini & sleep over at his house way back in 1992-93, He is the head of the Band the 4 Squares and we would prank the singer of Mr. T.
