Today's Time Capsule, Hector...

So, I have no info on this band except their name is Hector, and they were on this compilation called Boobs. According to the liner notes of the CD this song is from 1973, and it's a party record. I guess the name of the album is in reference to glam rock club, from the mid-70's, of the saem name, Boobs.

Finding any info on this band is a real stress maker, seeing as the only info I have are the names "Hector", "Boobs", and "Wired Up" to go by.

The only real info I could find was that they named themselves after a cartoon character that the Bassist had drawn. They were a glam rock band from Portsmouth, UK and they only released two singles "Wired Up" 1973 and "Bye Bye Bad Days" 1974 on the DJM label.

It turns out they were also known for using a giant catapult to fire Smarties at their audience.
I love the fuzz on the guitars, not to mention the solos throughout the song.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Banned From The Pubs" by Peter & The Test Tube Babies from the album "Punk & Disorderly (Disc 1)" released in 1981 on Abstract Sounds records.
