Cool Bowl for Cool People Only...

I don't wanna go anyway, hope it goes the way of the Chin.
This was sent to me via text message by a guy I know from my home town that doesn't even skate, and then I see people that I know in the background, that never told me about the thing.

Broz...

So, I'm cruising around in mai A4 in the city of Chicago after the Hometown Heroes thingy over at Wilson Skatepark, just trying to kill soem time before I head on over to see The Bermondsey Joyriders at Rock Box.
Which when I was talking to Steve Godoy I was telling him that I had just made soem buttons for Danny over at Factory 13, and Steve says "oh, I'm wearing one" and pulls on his vest to show me the the F13 button I had just made weeks earlier. He and Danny are friends and band mates in band The Last of the Bad Men with Steve's twin brother Art, a cool guy named Justin, and Deniz Tek from Radio Birdman. I was shocked and honoured. Hopefully I can do buttons for the Joyriders soemdei.

Anyway, while I'm sitting in mai car getting mai iPod ready for brain stimulation and a nice walk, I see this car of Bros. Now get this, the plate actually says "BROZ 3" on it. Bros just cruzin' for chix in Lincoln Park on a Saturdei night...

Luckily I had mai trusty new cammy on hand to capture life's most random moments, it's like life is on shuffle and I'm the 4th generation click wheel with a monotone screen.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Absolute Power" by Gospel Of The Horns from the album "A Call To Arms" released in 2002.

Darn Grungy Kook...

So, lil Stevie Williams was in the Chi last night, (that's pronounced, shy, not chee or chai, which is pronounced CH-eye, not k-eye) at this clothing store called Jugrnaut (JGRNT) from 6-8pm, and in typical urban street time he was 2 hours late. Yup, he showed up at 8pm. I mean, c'mon dewd, really? You'd think you were Junebug or soemthing. (love the buggy, he's also notorious for being late) I was standing around with the CEO of Wellborn Clothing and Tony, the creative director. (who snapped the pic of mai BGP w/DGK)

Kids were waiting to show him their Breakdance moves, which were pretty stellar mind you. This one kid, who was prolly 8 or 10yrs. was just killing it with head spins & windmills into soem dope azz stop poses, the only thing wrong with the kids delivery was that he never entered any of his friends in, he just fixed his hat all kewl and walked away, talk about dissin' UR bros.

Anyway, he showed and everyone was happy, even lil Stevie. He might have been a lil overwhelmed with all the plugs people wanted him doing for their lil web shows and breakin' clubz, soem wigger dewd even asked lil Stevie if he could help him get his mixtape into Zumiez. Like nigga got that much pull. (do he?)
Lil Stevie was a total bro, and contrary to the Cori Doofell interview, lil Stevie was not a Nigger. He was very professional to all the kooks asking him dumb questions, even me, who had him sign a Dollar Dollar Bill Y'all...

For the record, Corie never actually called lil Stevie a nigger. He said "there was some trashy nigger with a gun... gold teeth like Stevie Williams." Am I the only one who reads it that way?
The only un-profesh thing he did was show up 2 hours late without calling any bros. Even I call if I'm running that late. (and I run late often)
THX lil Stevie for tha dolla sign, have fun in Tampa. Chicago loves you, come back and hang on the chill tip again. Wish I was out with you dewdz on Thursdei.
Mad luv to UR pop skillz, switch & regz. One of the best pro attitude I've ever come in contact with, up there with Daewon.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Solar Disruption" by Cozmographika from the compilation "35 Full Moons" released on Cosmogenesis Recordings in 2009.

So, If you read this, you're prolly denying that you're NOT a hipster. The thing with hipsters is, that they purposefully don't do a certain popular trend to prove to you that they aren't a hipster.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Reunion" by Quietman from the album "Shhhh disc 2" released in 1998. This track is off of the Free Ambient CD that was released as a limited edition. They say it's CD only, but I've seen the CD sold without it. IDK, WTFrick is up with that ish.

Hipster Bingo...

So, here is a nice game of Hipster Bingo for you and your BROs and ALTbros to play after a nice night of Twittering about how you walked your Fixey the whole stretch of Milwaukee Avenue from Grand Ave. to Belmont Ave. just to be seen in the scene to go get that Old Style 12oz. can on special for $2.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Broken Dreams" by Agent Orange from the album "Virtually Indestructible" 1996

I-Path Demoooooo...

So, this video is the Buster Bear/Dry Bones version of the I-Path/Hometown Heroes Demotest. K-Dawg Kev Pwnd the stair huck. People were mad cuz the wigger kid was doing "harder" tricks, but he only landed like 5 of them, one was a switch something but he fell out of it and still counted it. Kevin just landed the most tricks plain and simple and they were all kinda tough, he was also the only one to land multiple Hubba tricks, that wigger kid might be good at a perfect skatepark double set, but this is real life. I just hope he got that new Jay-Z album in time, hoving around the subbys.

As you can see, I took one of Gordon's daughters dancing. I like Guacamule as swell. I fell in love with my lost love again, Tech Decks. Such Luck Tim wasn't there which KNDA sucked, Pre Barney Matt Blevins kept his cool & looked it at the same time, All the reppers were out, Al from Character skateboards, Marfa from Wellborn Clothing , Alex from Buster Bear , Steve from Skate Illinois showed up later with Tim Ward and Tim Armour. There were bags of chips & half-eaten Burritos everywhere. I can't believe that people can be so disrespectful of my significant other that I'm a complicated relationship with on Facebook, Wilson Skatepark.

Brian, former owner of RQ skateshop in Naperville, IL was there, he KNDA promoted the shit out this thing, getting sponsors like Chipolte, Tech Deck, Affiliate Skateboards and a host of other too numerous to mention. It went off soooo hard, the weather cleared, the wind subsided, the Temperature dropped like a Muhh Fuhh, I made a new friend named Punchy who was born with the name Ryan Lay, he is an AZ DBN chapter member and he Raves, I made him an MP3 CD of 10 hours of Happy Hardcore/Rave music from 1993-2008. I hope he & Jaws are Psyched.

OMG that Ben Rayburn kid or whatever his name is, FRICK!!! sooooofickin' goood, he's loik 14-16 years young, Crailed loik half the deep end of the Wilson bowl, just str8 up PWND everything, did some sort of nosegrab 360℃ to fakie. He's looks loik a mini Jake Phelps, except with less SPI (spit per square inch). I, myself, repped my Yeah! A Place For Boards/Brimely collaboration shades, also repped Thrasher Magazine with my 90's zipper hoody & Vans Shoes with my Custom Dots Graphic Johnny Layton Purple Fades (sorry, good shoe, boring though, So, I spiced it) & my Vans Off The Wall Hat with custom Buster Bear art. Thanks to Jay Croft for the hat, He's KNDA the Vans midwest rep. He's from Ohio transplanted to Chicago For his wife's Schooling. Great guy all around. So, Paul [Van Doren], if you ever read this, wherever you are, he's doing his job.

I also handed out ALL of the Lowcard stickers, they were just laying there on the ground in a big pile spread out for people to take, but they were not being taken because all the kids were in the street course watching history unfold. So, I guess I KNDA repped them too, spreading the word of how "You can't polish a Turd". I'm a Subbie through & through though. I'm not black enough to Rep the Chi (pronounced Shy not Chee or Chai which is pronounced Ch-Eye not Kai). I don't be have the proper Chi push when I ride my board, making it look like you're pushing as hard as you can when you're just pushing like Kiko in that Lupe Fiasco video, (which, I guess there is some beef about that) So, Dave Thomas [rest your soul] I have found the Beef. Chi pushing is loik the equivalent of having a huge loud muffler on your rusted 1986 Honda Civic Hatchback. You're not going any faster just 'cuz your foot is stretched out as far as humanly possible and your arms are all monkey hung like a scarecrow.

I love this City & all the Bros I've met along the way, Jesse Neuhaus, Twins, Reggie, Biker Jose, Johnny Fonseca, Emfon, Tony the Juggler, Chris Forestine (spelling), Rutas, Meth, Salon John, Chris Quinn (pipes in front of your parents), Fat USA Kevin, KOOKalabro, Grumpy, Steve Dread, Turbo, Kalis, Hensley, Melcher/Marfa, Nate/Tony/Jub/Jason, Nate Lyons, Rob McBride, Sava/Paul, Wheaton Pussies other bros too, Thanks Metra . I don't have much that much free time. Well, possibly.

As of the time of the end of the post I am currently listening to "Psyde Line 10" by Flak from the DWLD'd mix "Psyde Line 10 (Disc2)" 2008. Some great Psychedelic Trance, some call it Goa, but there is a slight difference. I will take it all though. It's like Industrial & EBM, same but difernt. (Goa Trance & Psychedelic Techno)

Rollergaydes...

So, um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um after receiving flak from the wax on metal edges post, it occurred to me that the skater might not be 100% to blame for the Über wax job on the metal edges of parks everywhere, as we all know, the rollerhipsters wax the shit out of EVERYTHING in sight. But still, when waxing a ledge, you need only spread it on lightly one time much like that of a Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich, you get enough peanut butter on the knife and spread it around to make one thin layer of sticky nuttiness, you don't scrape the whole jar onto the bread, roight? I mean you're not planing a door.
Who rollerblades anymore anyway? Those guys & gals on the beach with the slalom cones & neon short shorts with Oakleys ® & Croakies ®? Rollergaydes is more like it.
Hmmm, the boot is plastic, the edge is metal... let's see, after passing science class, and high school in general, I seem to remember that the Petroleum based compound would make it easier to slide across an area at any rate of speed besides standing still. (take for instance the term: Oil Slick) it's not "Oil Stick". If that's your problem I suggest investing in a box of Q-Tips. Take the issue of Copers and coping. You have a petroleum based product that helps you "grind" across "pool coping" & metal edges.
Now, the EXTREME rollerblade companies, I'm sure, have an R&D team that test certain compounds against certain types of terrain that would make your sport, of any trick that you do makes it look like you're taking a shit in the woods, an easier experience than telling your parents that you're Gay.
So, to the skaters, it's not just you. To the Gay Blades, it's 100% you. So, next time you see me find wax, have a fun time running after it to try & find it in the grass, I might just let you use my hanky for your tears because I threw out your moms bikini wax.
Some may see me as bitter & shun me, some may agree silently so as not to be outed by the "bros" - I hope that the seven of you are able to understand to some extent, Bee oh oh, Eych oh oh. It's a blog, settle down. Buy Buster Bear shirts, Buy Wellborn Clothing, Shoppe at Yeah! Boardshop.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Candi" by Tad from the album "8 Way Santa" 1991 Sub Pop Records (back when they put out good music).

Again With The Snow...

So, it snowed last noight. Yeah, overnoight it loik snowed sooo hella, shit was done gone and melted by 4pm though. One of the great things about living in Chicago. Speaking of the Chi, (Pronounced Shy, not Chee or Chai which is pronounced Ch-Eye not Kai) we have a new Nike (Pronounced Ny-Key, not N'ike) as pictured above.

It is a shoe created by Steve "dread" Snyder who was in the band UNGH! who were featued on a Thrasher Skaterock compilation, I do believe. Also, those guys from UNGH! were all art student friends and disbanded and re-arranged the letters to form "H-Gun" as in H-Gun studios who went on to do videos for NIN, Megadeth, La Tour, Public Enemy and many more. Had UNGH! been signed to Geffen Records, H-Gun prolly wouldn't ever have existed. Now, try thinking about that during your altering history conversation at the coffee house.

Oh Yeah, did you also know that after UNGH! that Zimmerman was in the group Crunch-Ø-Matic? If any of my info about UNGH! or H-Gun is wrong, please write corrections in the comments. Steve Dread also rode for ALVA skateboards, as pictured above, this is the photo with Jesse Neuhaus, they said "it looked like some bikers kidnapped some kid" because Jesse looked to "clean cut" Jesse still rips to this day. He was pro for ALVA.

Wait, where was I? Oh yeah going on about the Shoe. I didn't get a pair yet, but my friend Ben (redgrave) was wearing a pair of them during filming. He got them for free due to the "Bro/Bro-Down" factor. what I mean is that Ben is a Bro & Uprise is the Bro-Down. The shoe is an Uprise/Dread/Chicago representation. (Uprise is an old skateshop & new shoe boutique, just hit their 10 year mark, before that it was called Blue Town, which was owned by Jesse, B in the D, B4 he sold it to some out of staters & a girl who didn't skate to rep the Chi). No H8'n just callin'. Tryin' to rep that the Chi is all baby blue like the Ambrose or something, but I think that Ambrose are baby blue & black, so maybe it's the flag colors or something? WHTVS, it's a wonder of humansity or some whack ass shit for some sucka MC's.

I used to work with a guy in 1994 who was all hardcore Ambrose. It's funny how dudes are just regular Bros when you work with them at jobs. Like this other dude I worked with in 1996 would run around yelling TPK (Tu Pac Killaz) all the time during work, one of the funniest guys I've met Mike Czubatuik or something polish sounding. I will always remember that guy. Yada Yada Yada, Dread + Jesse + the Shoe above = long winded post (since i'm not talking is it still considered long winded?) Maybe it should be long lettered? Sure beats posting 30+ videos on Fabecook, eh?

Man, I posted just vids going through my musical genre exploration, discovery & curiosity of my self-Identification during my teeny bopper years which rolled into my early 20's. Do any of the seven of you really like reading these things? Maybe they just give you a good laugh to break up your mundane day of sitting in a Cubicle Typing or serving Donuts to Mexicans. Sorry for no Hot-Links in this post, it's late 3:07am to be precise, I fell asleep at 8pm Sunday and woke up at 12:30am. Great, eh? So, now I will end this thing.

By the time of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Snorry Mouth" by Mercury Rev from the album "Boces" 1993. After my vid post for "Bronx Cheer" on Fabecook & Jeff Hedges vid post for "Frittering", I got the bug for some good headphone dreaming while typing, as you can see words just fall while in this mode.
Much like listening to the groups Secret Side & Intriga while making my Board for my f(r)iend Lou's art show @ EXP in 2007. Ganoight, gunna look for some Zzzzz's to chase. Well, after fucking around editing typos & adding words, I am now at "Bronx Cheer" going backward in iTunes from date added.
