Most oftern it's a La Fin Du Monde or a Trois Pistoles.

So, while on mai vacation I went to this Pho place, in Silver Lake, CA., that we were told was all the rage.
Now, mai whole thing with Pho is that it's been on the menu for years and there were a handful of places out there. I remember back in like 2002, while visiting Seattle, seeing one place. But lately within the past year or two they just started popping up and people are flipping out over them.
Do a Google search in your area... Tons!

It's just broth with veggies and/or meat.
Mai guess is that white people found out about it, and wanna feel like they're hip to AZN food culture w/o venturing to far down the culinary path. You're just having soup, you're not having a really tasteful AZN entreeatic tastebud orgasm.

Shit, I could go to the store now, buy a box of Knorr® broth, grab a handful of arugula (which is also popular now), soem carrots & cucumbers, grab a few chicken fajita strips from the bag I bought at Costco, and whip you up a nice Pho feast.
Grab you a few sticks from the backyard for chop sticks, and then eat like you're living in the stone ages.

It was a good meal, but nothing special to write home about.
I think chix like to go there so they feel like they "ate" a lot and don't feel like complete pigs while on a date. When in reality they just paid $7 for soem ramen.

Not dissing the time I had there, it was great, just don't see waht all the hype was about.

The Chicago Hot Dog, What A Stupid Rule..,

So, this is the most lamest rule of food I have ever come across and I will, at any chance, do it just to piss people off.

There are soem theories as to why this is the lamest...

1) All the vegetables and ish are already on there (tomato) so you don't need Ketchup [catsup] on your gross hot dog, you fat fuck.

2) Everybody kept taking all the Ketchup [catsup] packets, places were losing money, so they started charging for the packets anywhere from 25¢ to 50¢ per packet so then people just started eating the gross hot dogs w/o Ketchup [catsup].

3) It's okay for kids to put it on their hot dogs up until the age of 10.

Lameness all around, It's a fucking Hot Dog, eat it however the fuck you want. Raw, Uncooked, w/Tabasco, w/Cool Whip®, Dipped in a Milk Shake, Ketchup & Relish, Shrek's green Ketchup and Easy Cheese, or even Slathered in Bacon Grease & Brown Sugar.

It's food, there are no rules.

Friendly's: Heidi's High 5 Quest...

So, I stumbled across this restaurant, Friendly's, just now when I randomly typed "friendly" into Google.
Now I wanna take a road trip to Ohio to go eat at one, maybe get a kewl High 5 after I order a Honey BBQ SuperMelt® Sandwich (from the $9.99 create your own meal menu) or maybe the Sweet & Spicy Grilled Shrimp✝ entrée (from the under 555 calories menu) since I am "trying" to lose weight.

BTW: czech oat the ice cream flavours you get to pick from to make your sundae with... soembody get me a drool bib.

So, we skated up to Dunlays in Logan Square for lunch stuff, so I guess this is technically still a skateboard post. Stacey rode her bike.
Heat was brutal, sweathoggin, and saw some people trying to pretend to be interested in women's world cup soccer. Japan won.
