So, this has to be one of the best parts, and skaters that I've seen in a long time. It's one ofthose parts that stokes you to go skate even if it's way over your calibre of skating. Maybe it's the perfect trifecta of editing, song, and skating.
Soem video parts come out and you're left bored. The skating might've been rad, but the song sucked or the song was dope and the skating was sick, but the editing was choppy or cut quick.

This video has long post trick edits, an awesoem noninvasive song, and soem great added pleasures to see. Like the the dust trail behind him at 2:50, the unintentional layback slide at 3:02, the clip of him just cruzing, flying past you at 3:06 leading into the lipslide UP THE RAIL at 3:08, and a fucking legit street gap ender, ender.

Thrashin'...

So, here's a nice little rip from an old Transworld Skateboarding magazine from, I'm guessing, 1986 due to the review of Thrashin' and the Chicago Blowout contest.
Thrashin' has to be one of the best skate movies of all time, it PWNs all over that Lords of Dogtown movie. In mai opinion it's the only teen sport du jour-love-drama that they [Hollywood] got right, it has just the right elements of Cheese and Reality with soem really dope tunes to accompany by soem really great band back when they were good. (i.e. Red Hot Chili Smokers)

The Chicago Blowout contest, I remember, happened when I was in 6th grade and we were all stoked on Chicago getting recognized for a national event for our ghea little activity. I even had a T-Shirt for it even though I never went, I got it at this bike shop called Sundance Cyclery in Bloomingdale, IL. because the contest was also part of VSW, so they had shirts for it.
Much like your [I'm] Grateful [he's] Dead 1977 tour shirt.

It's great to find these things that you tore out and hung on your wall as a grommet.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Lollipop Man/Nightflyte" by "Union Jack/Somnambulist" from the mix CD "Psychotrance" released in 1994, mixed by Mr. C from the group The Shamen.
The reason that there are two tracks is because his mix is so fluid and he'll play tracks with each other forever, it's hard to place a track mark. So they just placed track marks every 4 minutes.

So, here is a scan of a Trick Tips by Eric Koston from 1992 out of the October issue of Transworld Skateboarding magazine. (Volume 10 Number 10)

Now, this trick is still hard to do todei, and I haven't seen anyone do it since.

Steve Ortega, SUper Good...

So, while cleaning off an old desk in the basement, I came across this drawing I did in like 1989-90? of Steve Ortega about to do a lipslide in a ditch. Mai old friend Kevin Buchwald and I would soemtimes sit around his house and draw pics from the magazines, this is one of them.

I remember drawing this one pic of Jeff Ramos doing a frontside wall ride 5-0 on soem 4 foot wall in an alley in an old Z-boys ad. I was stoked on seeing him in a mag because I met him at a contest in Downers Grove, IL behind a Pizza Hut in 1987.
