See You Next Year...
So, the end of another year has come to a close and we must also close the door on old habits. Well, at least until February 15th.
Have fun, stay safe, drive safe, designate a special sober soemone to drive if you do drink. Soem cities have special New Years rates going on for safe travels. Like Chicago's penny CTA fares.
ROAR!!!
As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Too Pure (T.I.P. Remix)" by KoxBox from the CD single "Too Pure" released in 1997 on Blue Room Released.

YEAH! Berricshop...
So, I was czeching oat the Berrics this morning, not the Beerics although those guys are pretty rad dewds down for a fun tyme, to look at the shop profile for mai old friend Steve's shop, YAY! A Shoppe for Boards and when the main Berrics page loaded it had an ad for Wellborn Clothing, owned by another friend of mine, Marfa.
(Wellborn on Twitter)
(Yeah on Twitter)
Win Win, two of mai friends have space on the berrics. It's all about numbers. No, not the show with Joel from Northern Exposure. Numbers as in audience recognition and expansion.
Great Job Guys.
As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Ragu" by Shaolin Wooden Men from the compilation "Psy-Harmonic Vol.3: Hacking The Reality Myth" released in 1996 on Psy-Harmonics records. I couldn't find a video for the song "Ragu", but I did find one for the song "Ohar" from 1994.
SWM is but one of the many projects and co founder of Psy-Harmonics Ollie Olsen.
Shaolin Wooden Men is also a 1976 movie starring Jackie Chan of whom which I think all of you know.

Today's Time Capsule, Gang Green...
Gang Green - WE'LL GIVE IT TO YOU
MONGORIA | MySpace Video
So, Back in 7th grade I got the February's new Thrasher and was TTLY taken by the cover photo, a band I have never heard of, but just had to hear, Gang Green. This issue is one of mai favorite issues, not just for the cover, but for almost everything packed inside.
Crailslide step-by-step, the Lance Mountain ad for Independent Stage V's that made me wanna skate Indys, the Garage Sailing article that taught me about Thrifting and the beauty of GS, page 56, and The Sound That Roared section that gave me new musical direction rather than just the Agent Orange, Circle Jerks, DK, Meatmen and Suicidal Tendencies that I had been listening to.
I got it. With the next acquisition of money in mai Jimmy'z hip-pack I went down to the local mall to the Camelot Music and purchased You Got It from the "Alternative" section, back when it was the alternative to mainstream music and not just soem shitty genre, and they gave it to me.
"We'll Give It To You", "Sheet Rock", "Born To Rock" are soem of the most intense songs for a hormonic puberty induced teen to hear cranked on a Boom Box while skating the back patio learning Hurricanes both ways, Boardslides to Fakie both ways, and Tailslides (one way only) on a seven inch curb. Over the years I bought whatever new cassette the band put out.
If we had cable in 1987 AND had MTV AND they actually played the video AND I would've seen this video... I would have been sooo blown away, much like the way when I first saw the video for soem Anthrax randomly on soem video show. You know, the one where the dude is wearing the "Injun" hat runnin' around stage with the bill straight up?
Anyway, this is a fukkin' Gang Green post, not Adrenalin O.D. idea stealing Anthrax.
If you skate, then you obviously know about the Thrasher Skate Rock series. The song Skate to Hell is on Vol.3 Wild Riders of Boards.
Enjoy the video and the free album.
As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "The Templar Flame" by Hammerfall from the album "Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken" on Pandora.
A Pandora player is now located at the top of the SRC Bypass blog on the left-hand side. Which you would have to be blind not to have noticed the big orange box. Feel free to use the search bar above Pandora to search for any of the artists that I have given a thumbs up to.

Brown Sugar, You Taste So Good...
So, it being the holiday season for eating sweets and getting drunk and fat and all that junk. I figured I would give you soem old family recipe of mine to cook for that NYE party or post NYE brunch, in which case it would be a New Years Brunch, right? Hell go ahead and throw a party for Santa's Birthday. He would have been 1764 this year. Wahtewer you do, wahtewer your faith, I'm sure you have soem sort of trad that you practice, or have down to a science, to keep hope alive and spirits up, tipped and flowing. Whether you go to take brandy in your Egg Nog wearing soem gross blinking sweater or feed the reindeer Amanita Muscaria and drink their urine and have an out-of-body experience to bring Holiday Cheer, I'm sure eating one ov these butes will make you gargle in your sleep under the coffee table.
Brown Sugar Cookies:
1 cup Brown Sugar
2/3 cup Shortening
2 eggs
5 Tbsp Cream or canned Milk
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Baking POWDER
1/2 tsp Soda
2 1/2 cups Flour
Mix Brown Sugar, Shortening and Eggs until light.
Add Salt and Vanilla.
Sift Flour, Baking Powder and Soda together.
Gradually add to Sugar mixture and blend well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350* until lightly browned.
Frost when cool.
FROSTING:
2 Tbsp shortening
3/4 box Powdered Sugar Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Cream Shortening and Sugar.
Add enough Milk to make a spreading consistency.
Add Vanilla
Well, there you have it. You can play with the amounts to make your own likeness to flavor. This recipe is by no means Vegan. You, however, can take the appropriate steps to exchange ingredients and make a Vegan treat.
As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Cradle to Enslave" by S-Cube from an unknown album. I DWNLD'd this from Beatbiz back on Thursday, July 20th, 2006.
S-Cube did a Remix for the NIN song "Hand That Feeds" also.
Soem pretty good Psy-Trance. Enjoy.

Shot Of Love...
So, who among us hasn't listed to at least one King's X song? Who among us also hasn't dreamed about being a black bass player wearing soem sort of napolean band leader coat? May I add, with a dope hair-cut to complete the ensam?
Okay then, well. Who of you cares to read the lyrics for the song "Shot of Love?"
wow! That many, eh? here you go then.
Shot Of Love:
See the bread, see the wine. See the graft into the vine. This is what it is to be, it always made sense to me.
Send a shot of love across the mountain to the sea, frome the poles of North and South, wherever we may be.
Sometimes my cup is empty, my wish that it stay full 'cause I am always thirsty I can't get enough of you.
Send a shot of love across the mountain to the sea, frome the poles of North and South, wherever we may be.
There is nowhere else to go, there is nothing else to do, there is nowhere else to turn, the first and last is you.
Oh I hear the music, oh I need a brand new song.
Send a shot of love across the mountain to the sea, from the poles of North and South, wherever we may be.
Sound like soem sort of god nosense or just an ode to love and breakups? I guess that's why it's KNDA vague so metal fans in 1987 would still rock. It's kinda like Rob Halford and Freddie Mecury with their lyrics so vague that you don't know that their Gay.

Today's Time Capsule, Ted Nugent...
So, back when I was a little itty bitty 6 year old iSapien 1956672, in 1980, mai Dad came home with this, I mean the best, thing that made mai brother and I crank the stereo to 10 and put on those big white Pioneer SE-30 headphones. It was the most powerful thing I have ewer heard in mai entire life up until that point, a cassette tape of Ted Nugent's "Scream Dream."
I remember being in awe of the cover, "How did his arms become guitars?", "Is he in soem sort of pain, is that why he's screaming?" Oh, and the music. Mai god man, the music is soooo balls out. Soemthing of which I had no clue of since mine had not dropped yet, I could not get enuff of this whether it was played in the stereo, the headphones, the Chevy Scottsdale, the walkman, the Chrysler, mai 1st Audi, you name it I cranked it all the way to this dei. The tape player in this Audi has since failed only to have go all iPod all the time. I do not have "Scream Dream" on CD or any other format to enjoy.
That saem cassette followed me as we moved from Genoa, IL (Birth 1974-'82) to Oregon, IL ('82-'85) and then our move to St. Charles, IL ('85-present) where I listened to that tape all the time. The actual tape now resides in the basement of mai Mommy's house. At almost 30 years old it still plays perfectly, no tape crinkles, no magnetic warping, no solar melting, and no machine has ewer gotten hungry or brave enuff to sink its teeth into the Nuge.
As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Core" by Tsuyoshi Suzuki from the album "Deck Wizards 2" released in 1996 on Psychic Deli records. The vinyl is a DJ friendly 2xLP whereas the CD is the mix in its entirety as one continuous track of 1h 16m 53s, instead of cut-up into separates like most mix CDs come as.
The actual track that is playing from the mix is "Track 4" by Oligo
