Get Stoked...

So, as another year comes to a close, the year being 2K10, we must look forward to the next coming year for new resolutions to fail on, trying to suppress old habits, and generally just living another year as the past year with soem new wisdom and knowledge.
I suggest that for your sake in order to get a grip on 2K11 and PWN it like it was nobody's business, you get this new Thrasher Magazine wall calendar "Thirty Years Of Stoke."
Complete with epic pics of stokings past and weird bits of info that you never knew.

Quote: "be forewarned: There are no crybabies or mama's boys in here, just straight gnar skating."

Mark the days on this new Calendar that you learned a new trick, found a new spot, met a new friend at the new spot, or for marking the day you go to California for summer vacation with your friends.
Whatever the case may be, this will keep those long school months from dragging and keep you dreaming, stoking the flame of skateboarding deep inside your soul.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Sit In Glass" by Seaweed from the album "Despised" released in 1991 on Sub Pop records out of Seattle, WA.

Street Style...

So, I'm a skateboarder, we've established that in this blog since dei one. (daewon?)
Here's a video of me doing soem street style with a No Comply Wallride Boneless. (raw version)

I know you flatbellies won't like this trick and prolly talk ish about it because it's too "gay" or "old school" or "retarded."
Maybe, you should let down your insecurities and lærn soemthing new on that kewt little skateboard you and your friends play your kewt little games of S.K.A.T.E. on.
Well, us Barney's are still skating after 25 yærs, will you be?

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Babes On Broomsticks" by Synchro from the compilation album "Pulse: The 2nd Psychedelic Chapter (Disc 1)" released in 1996.

Wisdom Of Tea #9...

So, Todei being the anniversary of the LIHOP invasion of Pearl Harbor, I though it was quite fitting that I should get this as the kite string quote from mai Yogi Tea® just a few moments ago...

"The Purpose of Life is to Enjoy Every Moment"

In a way you may see the significance of such words, it may be an ex-GF or BF, an attack of our nation, a lost love one from a government inside job (9-11), or the economy and being unemployed.
No matter waht gets you down or stands in your way, enjoy it, because that experiance will shape your outlook and make you wiser.
KNDA like as a child when you saw that kid riding his bike and fall in a mud puddle.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Love Is Everywhere (Everybody Party Mix)" by GTO from the "Love Is Everywhere" CD maxi single released in 1993.

To Be A (butchered) Hero...

So, I play guitar, for those of you who didn't know. I don't consider myself a guitarist, because I don't consider myself that good.
Yeah, I know a few covers and I made up soem riffs during my stint with Cruciform Injection, but aside from that, I'm no Greg Sage or Jeff Loomis. Although, I do play about as sloppy as Jimmy Page.
This song is by a band called Kirk & The Jerks whom of which you may have read about in mai previous posts. I really dig this band.
They're from the late 80's and I don't think they've played since like 1995-97.
Click the tag at the bottom of the post for moar post about this group.
This song is called "To Be A Hero" and was featured in the inspirational and now classic 1989 Skateboard video "Hokus Pokus" from H-Street skateboards.
Enjoy!

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Slave" by the band 108 from the album "Creation. Sustenance. Destruction. (Disc 2)" released in 2006

4 Ewer...

So, do y'all remember when Mike Seaman worked at Chili's?
No?
Well, he did. He's a rad dewd, and pretty fricking funny, too bad he's got a bad knee and hasn't been able to skate for a few months now.
He's always gewd for a laugh and a funny face.
I either met him at the Roselle park or at the Bartlett park, I remember seeing him around at both like 6 years ago.
I would go to those parks after work to go skate.
I recently made soem hard cider from is Dad's home brew shop in St. Charles, IL. 60174.
Get that knee better Mike, MRI or Bust.

As of the end of this post I am currently listening to "Decent & Clean" by Dicks from the album "These People" released in 1985 on Alternative Tentacles records. Also featured in the Thrasher Magazine's Skate Rock VHS, "Blast From the Past and Present"
